Admissions Process

Our admissions process is designed to give you the opportunity to get to know our school. Our school tours will give you an overview of the Montessori philosophy and an opportunity to spend time in our classroom environments to see it in practice. We hope that this will help you decide if Mastro Montessori is the right fit for you and your child.

The steps in our application process are outlined below. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have at (732) 219-5400.

  1. ATTEND A WEEKLY OPEN HOUSE:
Prospective parents should schedule a tour of our school by calling 732 219-5400 or via our Online Contact Form. Observations begin in October and end in April. The classroom observation is an opportunity for you to watch students in their classrooms exploring and learning. After the observation, you will meet with an Admissions member who will answer any questions you might have.
  2. COMPLETE ADMISSIONS APPLICATION FORM:
After attending an Open House parents are invited to complete an application form. Please complete the form and return it to Mastro Montessori. There is a non-refundable application fee of $100 per child ($125 for elementary).
  3. SCHEDULE A PARENT INTERVIEW:
After we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a parent interview for you to meet with our director. It is our experience that in order for children to be successful at our school, families need to have the appropriate expectation of a Montessori education. During this meeting parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Montessori philosophy and further discuss the enrollment process.
  4. ARRANGE A SCHOOL VISIT FOR YOUR CHILD:
Following the parent interview, children will be invited to come in and visit with one of our teachers for an informal developmental assessment.
  5. AWAIT THE SCHOOL’S ADMISSION DECISION:
Admission to the Mastro Montessori Academy is determined after careful consideration.  When individual classrooms reach their capacity, children may be added to the waiting list.

Families of children accepted for enrollment will receive an admissions packet containing an acceptance letter, enrollment contract & partnership agreement.

Families are asked to commit to enrolling their children through the completion of the primary program (through their kindergarten year). If families cannot sign the partnership agreement in good faith we ask that they call the office.

If you have any questions, please Contact Us or call us at 732-219-5400.
